Lions Clubs have been internationally recognized for their service to the blind and visually impaired. Lions are also involved in a variety of other activities to help people in need, such as assisting the hearing impaired, providing diabetes awareness and education materials, and developing youth programs. The Wisconsin Lions Foundation owns and operates the Lions Camp in Rosholt, Wisconsin. The camp encourages learning through outdoor recreational and educational activities. Children with mild cognitive disabilities, children that are deaf or hard of hearing and blind or visually impaired, and children with diabetes can attend the Summer Camp sessions. There is no cost for attending any of the Summer Camp sessions for qualified Wisconsin residents.
