Why Every Lions Club Needs a Website
This guide is based on the live website we built and maintain at gglions.org
Before building your website, create a dedicated Gmail account for your club.
Do not use a personal email address.
Share access with at least two officers (President and Secretary or Webmaster). This ensures continuity when leadership changes and prevents losing access to your website.
Use this Gmail account for:
• Google Sites
• Google Drive
• Shared documents
• Website ownership
A shared account protects your club’s digital future.
Once your shared Gmail account is set up:
Go to sites.google.com
Click Blank to start a new site
Name your site (Example: Greater Greenfield Lions Club)
Choose a clean theme
Add your club logo and banner
Create your main pages
Click Publish
Start simple. You can always improve the design later.
The goal is to get your club online.
